Necessary Elements for Successful Hypnotherapy
There are 4 key elements to successful Hypnotherapy
1.
You have to want the change. Your desire and willingness to shift, boost, heal, or improve is the power that fuels this process. Despite how it’s portrayed in the movies, Hypnosis can’t “make” you think or behave in ways you don't want to. It can, however, update even deep underlying patterns of thought or behavior that have been holding you back. When your subconscious is on board with your conscious goals and desires, it clears the way to greater ease and meaningful lasting change.
2.
You need a well-trained, experienced Hypnotherapist with integrity. As a Hypnotherapist what “integrity” means to me is being focused and present with each client, providing effective, individualized treatment tailored to their needs and personality.
3.
Come open to the experience. You don’t have to understand it completely or believe in it wholeheartedly. You just have to be open and willing to try it, and you will see results. I’m always happy to answer all of your questions and concerns. Your comfort and sense of safety are first and foremost to my process. New clients are often relieved to learn that their conscious mind will always be present and listening/observing during their session, and that they are always in complete control.
4.
In some cases you must be willing to make changes in your life that support your goal. Hypnosis can help you identify and shift any subconscious blocks you may have to achieving your goal, but that doesn’t automatically alter elements of your lifestyle that may be holding you back. (For example, if you want better sleep and you drink 10 cups of coffee a day, cutting back on your caffeine intake will help support your goal.) The good news is, if you find you have trouble making those changes, it can be incorporated into your hypnotherapy.
